What Is Chin Augmentation?
Chin augmentation is designed to give an under-projected or recessed chin more prominence, which also enhances the shape of your neck and jawline. The most common type of chin augmentation is a synthetic chin implant.
It’s placed around your existing chin below the skin, which then alters the shape of your face by refining the contours of your chin. What Happens During Chin Augmentation?

The skin is then stitched closed with sutures. This is considered outpatient surgery and takes about an hour to complete. Other than a few stitches, no other dressings are required.
