Your neurotoxin procedure will be a very quick treatment in our Chelmsford office that can be easily scheduled within your busy day, after which you can return to your daily activities. This treatment is like any other dermal injection treatment; for most patients, this procedure is painless and generally takes less than an hour.

The procedure begins with a cleansing of your skin. If necessary, a topical anesthetic will be applied to the treatment area, but in most cases, we can skip this step. Our specialist will then insert a small syringe to the target area of your face once or several times, depending on the needs of the procedure. Following these injections, your skin will be thoroughly cleansed once again. At this stage, you will be briefly monitored at our clinic until you are cleared to leave.

One of the many benefits of this treatment is that your recovery time will be minimal. In fact, most patients can return to their daily life with no hassle almost immediately following the injections. Your individual recovery time will depend on several factors, including the treatment areas, your age, and your overall health. With most neurotoxin injectable procedures, results are seen immediately or over the course of 72 hours.

For most patients, your results will last at least six months to a year. During this time, your body will break down the product, absorb it, and naturally excrete it. This is a good thing, as it means synthetic chemicals will not be floating around in your body forever. We recommend regular touch-up procedures as suggested by our specialists. Depending on the type of neurotoxin received and your own desires, this may be every six months, every year, or every two years.
